Kung Mammuth

The idea to Kung Mammuth took form when singer Bosse and guitarist Jonas was heading home from a Black Sabbath concert in 2014 and felt like picking up playing together again. They had previously played together since the 90's in a couple of constellations. Back home, they recieved a phone call from former drummer Thomas who was also looking for people to play with. A band was formed, and guitarist Olle (a coworker to Jonas) joined forces with the band. The name Sonic Bulldog was settled upon. A few local gigs were played, and the band made a couple of recordings. At that time, Jonas reached out to keyboard player Andreas (Schism Trace, Microbody) since they knew each other since quite a long way back and asked him if he could mix their recordings. Andreas agreed, and half jokingly asked if they needed a keys player as well and got invited to jam with the rest of the gang. He joined up shortly after that, and around the same time the band decided to start writing lyrics in Swedish instead of English. Everyone felt that a new name was needed to reflect that, and Kung Mammuth was settled upon. And that is where they are today.
